My name is Theresa Marie Galido and I moved to lower Manhattan in June of 2006. I’ve always had an appreciation of good food (perhaps the result of being a picky only child), however living in New York has turned it into a passion. At first trying new places helped me feel more at home in the city and was a great way to explore different neighborhoods. Now it’s become somewhat of an obsession to check places off of my ever-growing list. While the main focus will be downtown (23rd Street and below because I couldn’t leave out Chelsea), every now and again there will be an “out of bounds” posting that will stray from this area.

This blog is the result of becoming the go-to person in my circle of friends for restaurant and bar recommendations – and over the past months they’ve become more frequent. I can’t say that I mind these requests, in fact my ego would be a little bruised if they stopped.

When I’m not dining out, I run a boutique graphic design firm, TM Design, that specializes in branding and identity design for the beauty, hospitality, retail and travel industries.
