Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare
The best part about flying in on the Thursday before the holiday weekend is the crowds haven’t yet ascended on The Strip. Feeling a little jet-lagged from the flight we decided a nice dinner would be a great way to kick off the weekend. Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare is run by James Beard Foundation Award-winning chef Paul Bartolotta. In addition to winning the 2009 James Beard “Best Chef, Southwest”, the restaurant also received the AAA 4-Diamond Award in 2008 and 2009. Overall the service was a little remiss given the dining room was mostly empty, but the food far exceeded my expectations. Each dish was more incredible than the next. The fish is flown in fresh daily from the Mediterranean and the server pushes out a cart to each table with the days catch displayed on ice. The best thing to do is share plates – the menu is primarily seafood, but the pasta dishes also deliver.
