Verandah

The Four Seasons

The Wine Dutchess and I switched to the Four Seasons Hotel for our last night in Vegas. There’s three dining options within the hotel – the Oasis Pool Bar for salads and light fare during the day, Charlie Palmer’s Steak House and Verandah for breakfast and dinner. Verandah is casual elegant, with the dark wood floors and stucco archways and columns you’ll feel like you’ve been transported momentarily to Southern California. The menu is a mix of American and Italian specialities and there’s indoor and outdoor seating (the outdoor seating overlooks the pool area). The menu features flat bread pizzas, tapas, salads, seafood and steaks paired with a great selection of wines by the glass.

Tip: Check out the Champagne Brunch buffet served on the weekends from 8am – 1pm. Not your typical buffet, it features a chef preparing omelettes to order (with fillings like lump crab meat) and a donut bar with the pastry chef topping off warm donuts with a drizzle of carmel, chocolate or almonds.

Wine:
  • Sauvignon Blanc
Dinner:
  • ‘Loch Duarte’ Salmon, 10 oz. prepared on a charcoal grill
  • Lemon-scented asparagus topped with a sprinkle of parmigiano-reggiano

Dessert:

  • Latte
  • Vanilla and caramel ice-cream

The menu features a selection of meat and fish prepared on a charcoal grill

Dip some of the freshly baked bread into olive oil and balsamic while sipping wine on the patio.

We finished the meal with latte and a scoop of vanilla and caramel ice-cream.
